Five children were injured on Friday by an intentional banned cluster bomb left behind by the Saudi-led coalition in Saada province, northern Yemen.
At least five children fell as wounded victims in the bomb explosion in Qhahza region, which functions as a land mine if previously unexploded.
The cluster bomb caused the amputation of one of the children’s arms, while others remain in a critical condition as they receive care in a hospital in Saada province.
However, two of the wounded are severely wounded and had to travel all the way to the capital Sana’a to receive the proper treatment unavailable in Saada.
The Saudi-led coalition has been using thousands of international banned cluster bombs, sold by the US, against residential areas in Yemen.
Many have fallen as victims to the ruthless weapon, particularly innocent children as they not knowingly step on a cluster bomb.
