A senior security official and former leader of the security forces, Nabil Mashouchi, survived an assassination attempt in Bir Ahmad area of Aden Governorate, southern Yemen.
Unidentified gunmen fired a barrage of bullets at the motorcade of Nabil Mashouchi in the area of Bir Ahmed, northwest of Aden, local source reported to YemenExtra.
The source did not indicate whether or not he was injured.
Aden is witnessing a state of security chaos, consisted of the assassination of many political and security leaders as the forces of the Saudi-led coalition control it.
