An Eminent Commander of the Syrian Army Is Given an Order to Liberate Albukamal

A commander of the Tiger Forces, Major General Suheil Al-Hassan, is going to lead the Syrian Arab Army in an offensive battle with ISIS to liberate the stronghold of Albukamal, a Syrian military source said this morning.
According to the source, General Hassan was asked this week to lead his Tiger Forces with an offensive from the T-2 Pumping Station to the border-city of Albukamal; however, this will not begin until Deir Ezzor City is liberated.
The source added that the Russian High Command wants General Hassan to lead the operation and this was approved by the Syrian Arab Army’s High Command.
If the operation proves successful, the Syrian Arab Army will be able to cutoff ISIS most important supply route from the Iraqi city of Al-Qa’im.
