An Update on the Battles in Deir Ezzor

The Syrian Arab Army had a successful day in the Deir Ezzor Governorate, liberating several strategic sites from ISIS.
During the day, the Syrian Army’s 5th Legion, alongside Hezbollah and Liwaa Fatemiyoun, seized the T-2 Pumping Station in western Deir Ezzor, following Daesh subsequent withdrawal from the base.
After the liberation of the T-2 Pumping Station, the Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces kept advancing inside Deir Ezzor City, entering the Ummal District after a long period from this area.
To conclude the day, the Syrian Arab Army finally gained control of Saqr Island, marking the end of ISIS two year reign over this important site east of the provincial capital.
