The joint meeting parties condemned, on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, the committed massacre against the citizens of Saada province. In which, the Saudi-led coalition carried out its strikes on a hotel and near shops in Al-Sahar district, Saada governorate. It resulted in the killing of more than 29 civilians and injured more than 30 others. This crime was committed after the Zionist entity conducted horrible massacres against the Palestinian people two days ago in Gaza, which coincides with the centenary of Balfour Declaration to establish the Zionist entity.
The JMP released the following statement:
Therefore, We, the JMP parties, highly condemn this abhorrent massacre, which we consider it to be a type of an aggression that the coalition and its paid soldiers usually achieve in the end. It is also a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the four Geneva Conventions. We also affirm that this crime comes in context of other crimes that were done in preset times.
We call upon the international community to investigate the crimes of the coalition against innocent civilians in Yemen. We also denounce the silence of the United Nations and international institutions concerned with human rights, which stand idly by watching the daily crimes against Yemenis. We call upon the international community, international organizations and political parties around the world to condemn the massacres of the coalition against Yemenis and to work in order to bring those responsible as war criminals to justice.
Moreover, we call on all Yemeni forces and political parties to condemn this massacre and to hold their humanitarian and political responsibility to expose crimes of the coalition, as well as to face their dictated humanitarian and national values in front of what Yemenis are subjected to of daily massacres, the latest of which occurred today against civilians in Alaf popular market in Saada. We also appeal upon the leaders of the political forces to join the national people and condemn this coalition, as well as to defend Yemen from this brutal aggression, which does not exclude even trees and stones.
We also affirm our call for Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue among all political parties to lead the country into safety, victory and to maintain its unity, independence and sovereignty.
Furthermore, we praise the Yemeni Joint Army for their sacrifices and we appeal upon them to avenge for the innocents who were killed since the beginning of the war on Yemen, which initiated on 26, March 2015.
