Japan would drop any North Korean missiles if necessary: Shinzo Abe

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said ,on Monday, that Japan would drop any North Korean missiles if necessary.

In a joint press conference with US President Donald Trump in Tokyo, he said Japan needs to strengthen its defense capabilities amid tight security in the region.

Trump told reporters that Japan would drop North Korean missiles “in the air” when it ended deals to buy US military equipment.

Trump is in Tokyo on the second day of his Asian tour, which is expected to be dominated by North Korea and trade,Media sources reported.

He said he was committed to a “free and fair” trade with Japan to reduce the US trade deficit.
