Lebanese President Michel ‘Aoun said on Wednesday that his government considers former Prime Minister Saad Hariri detained in Saudi Arabia due to the fact that he hasn’t returned in 12 days.
‘Aoun added that Hariri’s detainment is a violation of the Vienna Convention and a hostile act towards Lebanon.
Recently, Saad Hariri tweeted he is coming back to Lebanon in two days after an Iranian official also accused Saudi Arabia of holding him against his will.
On the other hand, Hariri maintains he is simply a guest in Saudi Arabia and is not detained.
