Several arrest warrants for defense officials issued by Iraqi authorities

The Iraqi authorities have reportedly took several measures to officials in the Defense and Interior ministries for suspicions of corruption.
According to Al-Hurra Iraq, at least 48 members of the Iraqi Defense Ministry were issued arrest warrants over their suspected financial and administrative corruption.
Furthermore, the Iraqi authorities had also issued a similar amount of arrest warrants to the Interior Ministry over similar charges.
The Iraqi government has recently launched a nationwide campaign to get the country rid of corruption; it has started internally in Baghdad and will go on for the next few weeks.
