Russian helicopter crashes in Hama accident, two pilots killed

The Russian Ministry of Defence has confirmed that a Mil Mi-24 helicopter gunship of the Russian Armed Forces has crashed in Syria, leaving both pilots on board dead.
The Ministry stated to Interfax news service that a technical malfunction was responsible for the accident, and that no fire damage had been taken by the helicopter. Furthermore, reports indicate that no fire from the ground towards the gunship had taken place.
Reports have it that the helicopter crash took place in the south of the Hama Governorate last week, but confirmation was only issued on Wednesday.
