The Syrian Arab Army and allies paramilitary groups have achieved a great advance in the southwestern countryside of Aleppo province, snatching up ten towns and villages amid the total collapse of militant defenses throughout the region.

Moments ago, military-affiliated sources reported that Syrian pro-government forces had gained control over the towns and villages of Tal ad-Daman, Tal Ahmar, Tal as-Sheikh, Qalaat as-Sheikh, Um Amud, Al-Hanoutah, Tal al-Hawasid, Abd, As-Shuwyha and Al-Lahb in southwest Aleppo province after very violent but brief clashes with armed terrorist groups.

Despite a show of resistance by terrorist-led militias, they were quick to disengage once it became apparent the were seriously outnumbered and out-gunned with Syrian army-led forces simply blasting their way through rebel lines using tanks and artillery.

With the retreat from Tal ad-Daman (a town which Al-Qaeda-linked militants implied they were going to defend fanatically) in particular, militant defenses across southwest Aleppo virtually disintegrated and with this the door to eastern Idlib has been burst open for the much-expected linking-up of Syrian Army units in both provinces.
