Yemen’s Ansarullah Houthis along with Yemen Army are mulling a possible missile strike on UAE military base in Socotra island, south Yemen where strategic US bombers and countless UAE occupation soldiers are based.
This comes after UAE has called that it is planning to make a referendum to join the island to be the 8th Emirates of the UAE.
Senior officials of Defense Ministry’s Rocket Unit have announced early time Saturday that they are “carefully examining” plans for a medium- to long-range rocket attack on the base.
This warning was in response to reports that UAE had developed a plan to make a referendum for the island citizens to vote for the island be part of UAE, a thing that provoked state of outrage with citizens of island and across Yemen.
The anonymous source called all UAE families that have her sons of relatives in this military base to urge them to go back to UAE as some as possible, or else they will get the fate of what happened to other UAE troopers in Mareb in September 2015 when Houthis ballistic missile hit a military base used by UAE in Marib Province, striking an arms depot and destroying other equipment, including Apache helicopters which resulted in killing more than 54 UAE troopers and high ranking officers.
