Presidency Director meets United Nations Resident Representative

The Director of Presidency Office Ahmed Hamed met ,on Monday with the United Nations Resident Representative and Humanitarian Coordinator Jimmy McGoldrick on the occasion of the end of his tenure in Yemen.

In the meeting, Hamed affirmed the appreciation of the political leadership for the humanitarian efforts made by the UN official during his term in Yemen, wishing him success in his future tasks.

He expressed his hope that the United Nations will play a stronger political role towards the Yemeni people so as to stop the aggression and lift the siege and end its suffering.

The Presidency office director called on the UN official to contribute to lift the injustice on Yemeni people.

For his part, United Nations humanitarian coordinator reviewed the political and humanitarian role during his tenure in Yemen that were accompanied by difficulties .

He stressed that he will strive within the framework of his work to lift the suffering of the Yemenis as a result of the war and to convey a clear picture of the events in Yemen to the concerned authorities to help the people to overcome this critical stage.
