Trump’s Agenda: How to Set the World on Fire?
Just as the world is trying to embrace peaceful co-existence by celebrating the defeat of ISIL in Iraq and Syria by the allied forces of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Russia, Hezbollah and Popular Mobilisation Units, the War Party in Washington wants to spoil the joy and:
– To Make US Military More Lethal
– To Have More Options for Attacking North Korea
– To Kill More Civilians in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan
– To Talk Possible Venezuela Military Coup
– To Impose New Sanctions on Hezbollah
– To Hunt Russian Politicians, Citizens
– To Unveil Nuclear Arms Policy with Focus on Russia
– To Derail the Iran Nuclear Accord
– And to Prepare for Military Action against Syria
In that context, President Donald Trump is admittedly prepared to set the world on fire to ‘Make America Great Again,’ with lots of ‘fire and fury’ and indeed expectable falsehoods, lies and exaggerations. Obviously, Trump’s America is open for war and Washington is willing to go it alone, as not many allies want to get on board:
1- There’s been lots of ‘fire and fury’ around Washington lately, including an ongoing attempt to derail the Iran nuclear deal with the P5+1 group of countries (US, UK, France, Russia, China plus Germany). In Donald Trump’s White House, you can hardly keep up with the ongoing tensions from North Korea to Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and Syria. But don’t be fooled: none of that is as important as what’s missing from the picture. Like a disease, in the nation’s capital it’s often what you can’t see that will, in the end, hurt the world most: America is broke; desperate for cash and new resources.
2- America is broke and Trump is desperate to prove otherwise. Amid a roaring Pentagon regime and a gang of upbeat arms makers in the Military-Industrial Complex, few are even in the know that America’s multi-trillion-dollar financial system has gone rogue, inflicting upon global stability. Neglecting this obvious fact is a dangerous idea. The War Party is in the process of making the Middle East region flammable again. They are after its vast oil and gas resources and they are not willing to share them with anyone.
3- Collectively, the biggest US allies already have their own green lights as well, and are now behind the worst humanitarian crisis the world has ever seen after triggering an unjustified war on Yemen, wrecking countless lives, and elevating regional instability. Still, let’s not blame the dangers on the Trump doctrine of supporting the Saudis alone. They should be shared by the Israelis too, who, President Trump claims, are the owners of the Holy Land and where the US embassy should be relocated.
4- Why should we be worried about what might happen in another regional war, given that the Trump regime is in charge? With pro-war and pro-Israel thinking reigning supreme on the Capitol Hill, what could go wrong? In Washington, key bodies are tasked with keeping the war machine running to wreck nations, commit crimes against humanity in the name of freedom and democracy, and trigger a new arms race. These entities are run by men whose only desire is to give the Military-Industrial Complex more leeway.
5- These men include Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who says while the US doesn’t specifically advocate for regime change in Venezuela, he believes it is likely that the military will carry out a coup d’etat against President Maduro. Catching the spirit of the moment, Defense Secretary James Mattis says he believes the US military needs to be made “more lethal,” and pushing for yet more money.
6- Then we have the White House reportedly pressing the Pentagon regime to provide more options for different plans from expanding the Saudi-led war on Yemen and US-led war on Afghanistan to attacking North Korea militarily. We also have senior US officials who claim that President Donald Trump is prepared to launch a military action if necessary against the Syrian government which they claim is possibly developing new types of chemical weapons!!!
Ominously, the Trump regime is prepared to repeat the same mistakes of its predecessors. President Trump is making his mark on the world not by producing global security, but by cheerleading for new hostilities and new military aggression almost everywhere on this planet. In time, we will come to a reckoning with his era. It could easily lead to a global crisis of the first order and it won’t be pretty.
