FM deputy meets UNHCR resident representative

Deputy of Foreign Minister Hussain al-Aezi ,on Monday, met resident representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Ayman Gharaibeh in Sanaa.

During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation between the rescue government represented by the National Commission for Refugees and the Office of the (UNHCR) in all issues related to refugees and asylum seekers and their situations in Yemen.

The meeting also discussed the aspects related to the contribution of UNHCR to the provision of services, the treatment of refugee situations and the intensification of work towards encouraging their safe return home through the targeted stimulus programs.

As well as the start of establishment of refugee camps to who there are in Yemen, and the need to coordinate with the countries of origin, especially in the Horn of Africa to raise awareness of Africans arriving from those countries to Yemen with the associated risks.
