This is what history has proven. On 28/11/2017, Britain hosted a meeting on Yemen. It is funny that Yemenis did not attend this meeting.
The meeting was attended by British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson, his counterparts in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Oman, as well as US Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Tomas Shanon and international envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Sheikh.
Most of them have their hands stained with the blood of Yemenis.
As the press reports indicate, Britain is not looking for peaceful solutions in Yemen that serve the people and their interests.
Rather, they seek solutions to get their allies out of the quagmire America and Israel have created in Yemen first, and then dismantle and divide Yemen into several independent provinces. “The secession of the south is ultimately a Yemeni thing and they have to resolve it through peaceful dialogue.
As the British newspaper “Independent” points out, the military level of British experts and technicians, as well as deals of arms and ammunition, which increased by 500% since the beginning of this attack against Yemen.
While the volume of arms trade amounted to 4.6 billion dollars in the first two years after the purchase of Riyadh bombs Britain and the United States offer full support to Saudi Arabia in the negotiations.
Aden has been the focus of attention of many countries in the establishment of bases on the Red Sea and the Gulf for control and access to economic and political in that region.
So many Aden forces and colonial countries, and today the role of the UAE in the south Yemen regains the memory of Britain’s occupation of Aden and the Yemeni islands.
Britain began its influence in Yemen by occupying the island of Perm at the entrance to the Red Sea in 1799. Due to the importance of Aden as the key to the Red Sea, it was occupied in 1839 after violent resistance from the population.
Britain is now seeking to reoccupy Aden and the southern provinces but by a margin, correcting the mistakes of the past, for example, the military action by the United Arab Emirates is the establishment of the security belt in Aden, Abyan and Lahj, southern Yemen.
And this is one of correcting its mistakes after the end of World War I, where the English General Jacob develop a plan for the formation of a local Yemeni forces, to ease the burden on British forces in southern Yemen, which failed.
At the end…
The UAE is implementing and repeating the same British plan in Yemen, but it corrects mistakes and selects other players in carrying out this task, by weakening Yemen’s national identity and dividing Yemen.
