The terrorist group Daesh has claimed responsibility for the bombings, according to Reuters agency.
The attack targeted a camp of anti-terrorism forces and the area near the Southern Transitional Council in south-western Aden, leaving dozens of citizens and soldiers dead and wounded.
ISIS, in a statement carried by its Amaq news agency, claimed responsibility for what it described as two “martyrdom operations” targeting a counter-terrorism camp in Aden’s Tawahi district.
Last year, it was revealed that the UAE clandestinely supports the secessionists against the Saudi-armed forces loyal to Hadi.
Given its economic importance, Aden’s control would lend considerable leverage to any side exercising ultimate control over the port.
