Over 135 former rebels surrendered themselves to the Syrian government in northern Homs on Monday, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.

According to the SANA report, the former rebels surrendered themselves to the Syrian government forces in the districts of Talbiseh and Al-Rastan.

Most of these rebels had previously fought the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the Old Homs District before they were transferred to the Al-Rastan pocket in late 2014.

These former rebels will now have their cases settled by a Syrian reconciliation committed; if they have committed no crimes, they will be eligible for amnesty.
