A military intervention was launched by Saudi Arabia in 2015 code-named ‘Operation Decisive Storm. Fighter jets, ground forces and mercenaries also took part in the operation. Many analysts believed that the war would be over with the victory of the Saudi-led coalition in less than a month, but the steadfastness of the Yemeni people represented by the army and the popular committees (Houthis) did not allow the Saudi-UAE alliance with Western-American-Zionist support to achieve its goals.

The purge was already under way, by Mohammed bin Salman instead of Mohammed bin Nayef. Within hours security forces had rounded up dozens of members of Saudi Arabia’s political and business elite.

Worth mentioning, terminated the service of Lieutenant General Staff Mohammed bin Awadh bin Mansour Suhaim, Commander of the air defense forces and retired him, promoted Major General Staff Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz and appointed him as commander of air forces because of the failure of the air defense to intercept Yemeni ballistic missiles.

The Yemeni army and the popular committees (Houthis) were able to launch scores of missiles at the kingdom. While causing great damage. These missiles were able to reach the depth of Saudi strategy. According to the information, this decision (appointed Turki bin Bandar as commander of air forces) was taken since the ballistic missile bombed Yamamah Palace, but was postponed to another time to cover their military failure in front of the Yemeni army and the popular committees.

Saudi King Salman has sacked the military chief of staff and a host of other top commanders, state media said on Monday, in a major shake-up of the defence establishment. The monarch also replaced the heads of the ground forces and air defences, as well as senior officials at the interior ministry, in a series of late-night royal decrees. No official reason was given for the sweeping overhaul, but it comes as the Saudi-led coalition’s military intervention in Yemen against Iran-aligned Houthi rebels nears the end of its third year, according to US network “CNBC” in a report.

But some analysts saw the military changes as the result of frustration with the three-year-old war in Yemen against the Yemeni army and the popular committees (Houthis).

At the end…

Yemen and its historic steadfastness has succeeded in breaking the thorn of the occupiers and the invaders and making the Saudi regime between the hammer of failure and condemnation of the international committees because of their crimes against the Yemeni people, women and children, and destruction of infrastructure, resulting in humanitarian disasters.
