Bin Salman to Discuss Yemen War at the White House: Saudi FM

The Saudi foreign minister said that during his visit to Washington, Mohammed bin Salman will carry important files and topics to be discussed at the White House today, including the war on Yemen. He referred to Saudi reactions to what happened in the US Congress.

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir revealed intensive moves by his country to reduce US moves in Congress against his country.

Al-Jubeir claimed that Saudi Arabia is working to clarify the facts to Congress regarding Yemen.

He also pointed out that the meeting with a large number of members of Congress from both the Democratic and Republican parties, indicates that Saudi Arabia is buying the voices of members of the Council as usual for not carrying out any international actions against the war on Yemen.

Al-Jubeir reiterated his country’s assertion that the reason for the Saudi-led war on Yemen was to deter the threat of Saudi security and to remove the authority from Hadi.

Al-Jubeir’s statement was derided by many activists and politicians who said Saudi Arabia have been killing children in Yemen and closed ports and airports.

What is ironic is al-Jubeir’s claim that his country has investigated many of the mistakes made in Yemen, announced the results and assumed responsibility, while crimes continue to be committed to date in many Yemeni governorates.
