Southern Movement Component Meets EU Ambassadors

The Southern Movement Component of the National Dialogue Conference met today in Sana’a the ambassadors of the European Union, headed by Antonia Calvo Puerta.

During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian situation in Yemen and the difficulties faced by the Yemeni people as a result of the continued Saudi-led war, siege and the resulting humanitarian tragedy, which is the largest in the world.

The meeting dealt with aspects related to the role that the EU can play in alleviating the humanitarian situation and working to stop the aggression and lift the siege.

In the meeting, the head of Southern Movement Component, Khaled Baras, pointed to the role of the organization and its efforts since the National Dialogue Conference until today.

Ghalib also stressed the efforts exerted by the Southern Movement Component to address the current situation in Yemen.

On the other hand, the official spokesman of the Southern Movement Component, Ahmed Al-Qana, spoke about the current situation in Yemen; demanding the European Union to pressure the Saudi regime and its allies to stop the war on Yemen.

Al-Qana also called on the EU mission to go to hospitals to realize the extent of the humanitarian tragedy experienced by the Yemeni people and the targeting of Yemeni children and women.
