In addition to causing deaths and injuries to a number of civilians, the raids launched by the Saudi-led coalition targeting a local market in Saada left countless young girls in a state of dread at a nearby school.
The pictures, which have been recirculating by activists on social network sites, display the students of Al-Tawheed School, a nearby school to the struck popular market, in a state of fear and panic.
During the three years of Saudi war against Yemen, the US-backed coalition have targeted numerous schools, thereby preventing thousands from their educational right.
Among the victims of such ruthless bombardment was Ishraq, a little girl attending a school based in Nehm District, outskirts of the capital Sana’a.
Ishraq was pictured killed on the ground, with her uniform and backpack on, while she was heading to her school as part of her daily routine, unaware that this would be her last day.
Yemen has been at war for more than three years since the Saudi regime and its allies launched their military campaign on March 26 of 2015 in an attempt to reinstall a Saudi-friendly president.
