Three Children from a Displaced Family Drown in Hajjah

Three children from a single displaced family have drowned in Hajjah province, northwestern Yemen, a local source told YemenExtra on Wednesday.
Three children of the displaced family of the Yemeni citizen Humaid Fattini al-Zubaidi, namely Abdullah, Abdo and Yaqoub.They were died drowning in one of the water tanks in Mahabsha distict,added the source.
The family was fled several days ago from Zabid district of Hodeidah to the displaced camp in Mahabsha district of Hajjah province. Three children climbed into a large tank of water then drowned while they were tried to escape eachothers,confimed the source .
Al-Zubaidi family is living a difficult economic situation as well as a number of other displaced families over Yemen’s provinces.The family has only a camp without any income but assistances of citizens, stressed the source.
Parents’ preoccupation with the problems of displacement and searching for a living is the main reason for the drowned of the three children. Yemen is suffering a major humanitarian crisis due to the continuation of war and siege since March 2015.
