A Criminal Lawsuit against Italian government for arms supplies to Saudi Arabia

Italian human rights organizations filed a criminal complaint against government for   arms supplies to Saudi Arabia, confirmed that weapon were being used in the brutal war in Yemen

The organizations said the arms had been found at locations targeted by air strikes in Yemen, on fragments of bombs manufactured in the island of Sardinia by the company “RWM Italy” of the German company “Reinmetal” German defense industries

Non-governmental organizations: the Yemeni “Citizenship”, the Italian “Ritti Italiana Per El Dismaro” and the “European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights” called on prosecutors in Rome to formally look into the case

In a statement, the organizations called for an “investigation of criminal responsibility” to be carried out by the Italian arms export licensing authority and the executives of RWM Italy

The complainants also indicated some evidences of using the Italian RWM bombs in an airstrike on 8 October 2016 in north-west Yemen, which killed a family of six people, including a pregnant mother and four children
