The southern recruits, who had been sent to Saudi Arabia to be trained were taken to a “carnage” towards Saada province, said Raed al-Jahafi, a leading member in the southern movement.

In a statement to southern media, al-Jahafi stated that a big number of the southern recruits, by Saudi Arabia, fell dead and wounded in the border battles at the hands of the Yemeni joint forces over the past months.

Notably, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates sent hunderds of southern soldiers for training in a Saudi camp in Jizan region.

Some of those recruits are being subjected to be arrested as punishment if they reject Saudi orders to fight in the border battles, while some others fled .

Recently, UAE signed a military agreement with Uganda to send 8,000 Ugandan soldiers to enhancing UAE forces in Yemen’s south, London-based daily Arabi 21 reported on Tuesday. The move comes after UAE state feared that its ally Sudan would withdraw its troops from the Saudi-led coalition.

African migrants and asylum seekers in Yemen are being subjected to physical and sexual abuse in a detention centre in the southern port city of Aden as well as forcibly deporting them out to sea, Human Rights Watch(HRW) and the UN refugee agency UNHCR said.

Since the beginning of the current year, southern voices raised rejecting the participation of the southern soldiers in the border battles, while mothers of those detained ones gathered in many protests to demand the release of their beloved.
