“After the revolution of September 21, Yemen is very different from what was happening before, the era of foreign trusteeship,” The Ministry of the Interior reduced its assessment of the security situation after three years of aggression.
Simultaneously with the battle being waged by the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees defending Yemen’s sovereignty against US-Saudi aggression, there is a battle being waged by the security services against aggression tools inside Yemen.
A security statistic, recently published, revealed to the Ministry of the Interior that the number of IEDs that have been dismantled and seized during the past three years amounted to about 2500 explosive devices and a balance of more than three tons and 700 kilograms, in addition to thwarting 29 suicide attacks during the same period.
The security services and law endorsements have also managed to arrest dozens of individuals associated with al-Qaeda and Daesh. The investigations with those terrorist members revealed the involvement of the countries involved int the aggression in funding and guiding criminal operatives to carry out their attacks on streets, markets, mosques and public places.
Compared with the security situation before 2011, where criminal members were managed and funded from within the regime itself, the assassinations and kidnappings were as high as 7 thousand case.
In 2011, the number of assassinations amounted to more than 1,100. In 2014 alone, the number of assassinations reached 264 operations. The security statistics before the September 21 revolution showed 23 smuggling operations from prisons to members of the so-called al-Qaeda and hundreds of criminals convicted in court.
For three years Yemen has been subjected to a US-Saudi war that has tried to hit yemeni security, targeting its facilities and cadres. However, there is no comparison between these conditions and what was the situation before. This raises the question of the real American role. In the name of “fighting the so-called terrorism” American troops continued to flow to Yemen.
The peace in the capital Sana’a and the marches of millions over the years of the aggression without any security breach, have made the countries of involved in the aggression against Yemen more aggressive in perusing a security breach. That is obvious by inciting their mercenaries to attack security and to carry out suicide operations in Sana’a.
The European Union and the United Nations appeared to be more confident in the capacity of the security services, and their delegations are arriving in Sana’a. The new UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, has not been able, since taking office last February, to visit the areas described by the aggression media as liberated areas.
Different numbers of security statistic issued in areas under the control of the US, UAE and Saudi occupations, heading chaos, assassinations, bombings and armed clashes between the aggression mercenaries. Observers consider that as the true desire of the aggression countries, to fragment Yemen and to keep it without government, to be able to control Yemeni capabilities and loot its wealth.
