Iranian Foreign Ministry Condemns Al-Sammad’s Assassination

The Iranian Foreign Ministry, Tuesday, offered its deepest condolences to the Yemeni people and the Supreme Political Council on the martyrdom of President Saleh al-Sammad.

“The Yemeni people will reap the fruits of the victory of their resistance and their struggle against the aggressors in the near future,” it said in a statement.

Earlier, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani, issued a statement in which he expressed condolences to the Yemeni government and people for the martyrdom of the President of the Political Council Saleh al-Sammad.

In his statement, Shamkhani condemned the Saudi crimes of killing the unarmed people of Yemen, stressing that the assassination of political leaders means choosing to eliminate dialogue and leaving the circle of reason and political solutions.

He also praised the role of the martyr Saleh al-Sammad in achieving independence, unity and pride for the Yemeni resistance. He added that the blood of the martyr proved the right of the Yemeni people’s struggle and the lies of the Saudi authorities.

On the other hand, Shamkhani congratulated Mehdi Al Mashat for his election as the new president of the Yemeni Political Council, stressing the continued support of Iran to Yemen and the political cooperation with him to resolve the crisis that afflicts him and put an end to the aggression.
