Sayyed Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi received a cable of condolences from the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, on the martyrdom of President Saleh Ali Al-Sammad, who was killed in an airstrike conducted by the Saudi-led coalition during his visit to the province of Hodeidah, western Yemen, last Thursday.
“I and my brothers in the leadership of Hezbollah extend their warmest condolences and the most precious congratulations to the martyrdom of the great Mujahid and the courageous leader, President Saleh Al-Samad, may Allah have mercy on him,” the statement read.
Hezbollah also maintained that, “this exceptional man held the responsibility, during the hardest stage, of confronting the most powerful aggression in the region, reaching his most precious goal of embracing martyrdom while defending his country.”
His Eminence, Sayyed Nasrallah, said in the telegram that the crime of targeting the president and the rest of the ruthless crimes committed by the US-backed coalition constitute evidence of the injustice and brutality of the Saudi-led war.
Agonized by the crimes and massacres which have been striking the funerals, wedding, popular markets, and the national facilities and infrastructure for over three years, Hezbollah strongly condemn the suspicious international silence about this major strike, calling on the conscientious governments, organizations and people to stand by the oppressed Yemeni people and expose the US-Saudi war in order to cease it.
