Human Watch Rights issued a report on Wednesday saying that Saudi Arabia has executed 48 people during the first quarter of the year 2018, half of them charged of drug cases.
“The execution of so many people by Saudi Arabia is horrible,” said Sarah Leah Whitson, executive director of Human Rights Watch for Middle East and North Africa Division, wondering that “a number of them have not committed fierce crimes.” .
Human rights experts have consistently vowed that fair trials in this country are not being carried out.
In 2017, some 150 people were executed in Saudi Arabia.
