Violent clashes in Taiz, the fate of senior leader

Local sources reported that a large number of dead and wounded, including civilians, on Monday ,fell as a result of armed clashes broke out between the Abu Abbas Brigades and forces of Hadi , the fugitive Yemeni president, and members of the Islah Party in Taiz.province.

According to the sources, violent clashes broke out in Gamal , the Center and the Liberation streets between the Abu Abbas Brigades and the forces of the so-called Fifth Brigade, Presidential Guard, and the brigade 170 air defense as well as security forces loyal to Hadi against because the assassination of soldiers of the Fifth Brigade ,Presidential Guard, and a soldier of the 170th Air Defense Brigade.

The sources said that artillery shelling accompanied the clashes that hit Brigades of Abu Abbas ,stationed in the Cairo Fort and Jamal Street, while the Hadi forces bombed a number of sites belonging to Abu AbbasBrigades, loyal to UAE.

The deputy of the province of Taiz, appointed by Hadi, “Aref Gamal” survived an assassination attempt during the violent clashes between the paid fighters factions and the blocking of roads in the city of Taiz.

The assassination attempt resulted in the injury of three of the accomplices of the paid fighter.

Taiz province has witnessed security chaos and proliferation of weapons since the Saudi-led coalition took control of parts of the city.
