Scores of Saudi soldiers and elements ,loyal to them ,were killed and many others injured in failed advance by Saudi army in # Jizan region, a military official told YemenExtra.
The Yemeni army foiled advances of Saudi forces, which led killing and injuring scores of Saudi soldiers and elements , holding many others and destroying a Saudi tank and a military vehicle belonging to them,it added.
The army , in addition, foiled a wide-scale advance of Saudi army and its elements , which lasted for hours toward the east of al-Shabaka Mountain off Khoba area in the same region.
The clashes , it confirmed, resulted in several dead and wounded in ranks of the Saudi army and its elements .
According to the Yemeni Media Center, the statistics said that 136 Saudi military vehicles, including three Abrams tanks, four tanks of other types, 15 armored, and 117 various vehicles were destroyed.
“al-Jazeera ” Qatari website, citing from, Saudi government media, mentioned that the number of Saudi military deaths has risen to more than 1,000 since its coalition against Yemen in 2015 so far.
The source confirmed the continuation of military operations inside Saudi Arabia until the US-Saudi -led coalition against the Yemeni people stops.
The Yemeni joint forces continue to respond with military operations inside Saudi territory on the frontier fronts on a daily basis ,inflicting them heavy losses on lives and equipment.
In March 2015, Saudi Arabia and a coalition of its regional allies — mainly the united Arab Emirates and Jordan — started a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Three years and over 600,000 dead and injured Yemeni people later, the war has yielded little to that effect.
A UN panel has compiled a detailed report of civilian casualties caused by the Saudi military and its allies during their war against Yemen, saying the Riyadh-led coalition has used precision-guided munitions in its raids on civilian targets.
