According to the Yemeni official News Agency, Saba, deputy Primer, Minister of Finance, Hussein Abdullah Maqboli and Minister of Water and Environment, Nabil Abdullah Al-Wazir, on Sunday met with representatives of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and UNICEF.

During the meeting, the officials discussed means of providing emergency shelter and humanitarian assistance to displaced people from Hodeidah province to Sanaa and other provinces, which reached to 2800 families and the number is increasing on a daily basis.

What the Hodeidah operation may do is turn a humanitarian disaster, which the UN is already calling the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, into complete catastrophe. Three quarters of the 27 million Yemenis already require aid to survive and this may be cut off in the next few days as the fighting moves into Hodeidah and closes the port.
