Officials Discussed the Work of Humanitarian Organizations in Yemen

Deputy Interior Minister, Abdul Hakim Al-Khaiwani, on Monday met with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Safety and Security Peter Drenan and his delegation in the capital Sanaa.

During the meeting, which was attended by Minister of Education, Yahya Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the officials discussed aspects related to the work of humanitarian organizations in Yemen and provide protection in light of the current situation as a result of the ongoing Saudi-led coalition aggression.

Al-Khaiwani pointed out that since the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Interior granted permits for 16,711 transportation vehicles of the United Nations and international organizations, as well as 9,000 work permits for employees of United Nations and international organizations.

Al-Khaiwani called on the United Nations humanitarian organizations to play their role in providing more assistance to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

For his part, Drenan praised the efforts of Ministry of Interior to stabilize the security situation, expressing satisfaction with the stability in the provinces under the control of the National Salvation Government.
