UN envoy arrives in the capital Sana’a

Special envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General, Martin Griffiths, arrived on Monday in Sana’a International Airport on a three-day visit to Yemen’s capital Sana’a.

Meanwhile, the head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohamed Ali al-Houthi, presented one prioritized request before the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, before any step in the negotiation file.

“Regarding the envoy, he should consider the salaries crisis as his first step, otherwise he will be dealt with like the others before him,” al-Houthi said on his Twitter account.

Al-Houthi added: “We hope to inform the UN envoy, whoever he meets, that the payment of salaries is the priority above all, if he has credibility, especially after he promised to solve the salaries crisis, or else he should explain why the delivery of salaries is obstructed.”
