US-Saudi-led coalition’s losses in the West Coast

The Yemen forces ,today, launched an offensive on the positions of the US-Saudi-led coalition in Hodeidah and Taiz provinces, a military official told YemenExtra.

The official confirmed that the Yemeni forces were able to secure several sites on the western coast.

The Air Force also targeted the military communications system of the coalition in the west coast with several raids yesterday evening.

In Hodeidah, the Yemeni forces waged an assault on the positions of the paid fighters West of Jabaliah area in the district of Tuhita, killing and injuring dozens of them, in addition to seizing a large quantity of weapons the official said.

In Taiz, they destroyed a military vehicle belonging to the coalition’s paid fighters with guided-missile in Waziaeh district, killing all its crew members.

Leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, on Saturday said Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are seeking to pave the way for Zionism to completely control the Red Sea.

In a statement, the leader said both Gulf states, which led a US-backed military coalition, are using the United Nations and its UN envoy as an umbrella to seize control the port city of Hodeidah through baseless justifications.

The leader’s statement came a day after the US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces launched a major assault on al-Tuhayta district in the western coast, south of Hodeidah port city.

“We are increasingly concerned by the fighting in Hodeidah,” UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said at a press conference held on Wednesday.

Dujarric also warned of the repercussions’consequences on the humanitarian situation

“The occurrence of a battle in Hodeidah, in the west of Yemen could lead to the destruction of the port, which in turn will send millions to starvation,” said the British newspaper, The Independent.
