Human Rights Minister Meets OCHA Director

Human Rights Minister, Alia Faisal, met Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs( OCHA), George Khoury.
They discussed in the meeting the situation of the displaced people, especially the displaced people of Hodeidah, the suffering of the people of the province and the prevention of the entry of displaced persons into Aden governorate, which is controlled by the US-Saudi coalition.
The meeting touched on the suffering of the people waiting for entry approval in different airports in the world who could not return to Yemen.
During the meeting, the Minister of Human Rights reviewed the humanitarian situation and the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the continued the war and siege. The Minister referred to the severe violations of human rights committed to a number of citizens in the secret prisons of the US-Saudi coalition.
The Minister of Human Rights delivered a file to the Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on the monitoring of violations and the humanitarian situation of Hodeidah governorate, which is exacerbated by the continuation of military operations in Hodeidah. She also impressed the continued silence of international and rights organizations.
For his part, the Director of the United Nations OCHA expressed regret for the continuation of displacement and its consequences on the victims. “We continue our calls to advocate for the airports opening and end the suffering of the Yemeni people and the humanitarian aspects will be follow up by the United Nations,” he said.
