An intense earthquake strikes the Gulf of Aden

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2, which was measured on a Richter scale, hit at dawn on Sunday, 213 km (112 miles) away northwest of Socotra Yemeni island in the Gulf of Aden.
“There have been no reports of casualties so far, nor have there been immediate warnings of a tsunami after the earthquake,” Reuters said.
The website ”Earthquake Live” said the quake’s epicenter was 10 kilometers above sea level.
It is worth mentioning that the earthquake, which is more than 6 on the Richter scale, is a powerful earthquake and results in considerable damage in densely populated areas.
