Pro-coalition Gen. Mohsen wounded, other commanders killed in Marib front

The General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, sustained injuries on Wednesday while an additional military leaders lost their lives in Marib front, a military source told YemenExtra. 

The Yemeni Army and Ansarullah attacked his motorcade when the Gen. Mohsen was on a field visit to Marib front, the source explained.

The former military attaché at the Yemeni embassy in Bahrain, Brigadier General Mohammed Mohammed Saleh al-Ahmar, was killed in the operation along with several of his companions, the source added.

The attack came after a precise intelligence procedure, during which the Army was capable of demolishing three military vehicles accompanying Mohsen’s convoy, according to the source.

Earlier the day, Defense Ministry in the government of the fugitive resigned president Hadi, proclaimed the death of Brig. Gen. Mohammed al-Ahmar.
