A famous leader, belonging to Saudi Arabia backed-Islah party, has sustained serious injuries, today, after an attempt to assassinate him by unknown gunmen. While another one, affiliated with Saudi -backed Salafi party, was also subjected to an assassination in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

In a similar context, the sources pointed out that Adel al-Jaadi, head of the so-called Association of Wisdom in the province of Dali, was the victim of an assassination attempt after an explosive device was planted in his vehicle in a district of the city of Aden.

This is not the first time that leaders of the Islah Party have faced assassinations and chases. More than 17 mosque preachers of Salafi groups and other military leaders, loyal to the forces of the US-Saudi-led coalition, have been assassinated.

Aden city, which was occupied by the UK but is currently under the control of the UAE, as well as the rest of the southern cities, witnessed a security disruption that increased the assassinations of the Imams of mosques and security and military leadership.

The province of Aden witnesses a security fiasco that escalates with killings, looting issues, in addition to other crimes that were not as frequent before.

The UAE took control of Aden under the pretext of confronting the so-called “Houthis”, Ansarallah, part of the Yemeni army forces, and it has supported the establishment and formation of armed paid fighters there.

A few months ago, Emirati-backed forces were fighting and killing Saudi-backed forces in Aden. The south is moving towards outright autonomy.
