Seyyed AbdulMalik to French daily Le Figaro: French have to review its policy and maintain its large economic interest in Yemen

Al Seyyed AbdulMalik said France is making a mistake by standing with Saudi Arabia and the UAE in support of al-Qaeda and Daesh,pointing out that France denies for its human principles and values also it harms its relationship with the Yemeni people

In an interview with French daily Le Figaro published on Tuesday, Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi drew that France has a bitter experience with events targeting its security by Al Qaeda and Daesh

“Some European countries have adopted wrong positions towards the Yemeni people in favor of Saudi Arabia and the UAE,The French position comes after the British in his negative attitude towards the Yemeni people” he added

In the same context, Seyyed AbdulMalike confirmed that many Western countries deal with region`s problems and wars from the perspective of interests and material gains,Some Western countries are working for their own interests instead of human rights international law

“France have to review its policy and maintain its large economic interests in Yemen,keeping its positive relationship with the Yemeni people”Seyyed said that

Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi said he had informed Martin Griffiths, the UN special envoy for Yemen, about his readiness to place Hudaydah under the world body’s supervision

“We told the UN envoy, Martin Griffiths, that we are not rejecting the role of supervision and logistics that the UN wants to hold in the port, but on the condition that the aggression against Hodeida stops,” he said

” It is strange to demand that the Yemenis pull out of their city of Hodeida for handing it over to the United Arab Emirates, which is committing an act of aggression against us. Such a demand violates international conventions,” Seyyed said, “It is as if the United Kingdom called on the French to abandon Paris or another city and give it up to the British. It is not logical,” he added

Seyyed AbdulMalike said that some European countries have exploited the war on Yemen to sell arms deals and carry out military activities, adding, “The Saudi regime uses internationally banned weapons to kill civilians and destroy facilities
