The Yemeni foreign ministry on Sunday denounced the coalition acts of delaying and obstructing the entrance ships and aircraft to unload their cargo of aid and medicines in ports and airports, the most recent of which was the preventing of the Russian plane carrying aid from reaching Sana’a airport for the second time in a row.
A source in the ministry said in a statement quoted by the official agency that the visits made during the last period to a number of ambassadors of friendly countries and representatives of regional and international organizations, in addition to parliamentarians, have been quite successful, which has concerned the Saudi-led coalition and its paid-militias.
The source added that the US-backed coalition impedes the arrival of some delegations of friendly countries and humanitarian organizations to observe the aspects of the humanitarian situation as well impeding the access of journalists, parliamentarians and activists to Yemen, contrary to international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
The source demanded friendly countries to resume their diplomatic activities in the capital Sana’a, albeit gradually to serve the common interests so that they witness the reality of the situation on the ground.
The source also renewed its invitation of friendly countries, parliamentarians and representatives of organizations and media to visit Yemen and learn about the reality of the ongoing Saudi-led war and siege unprecedented in modern history by the Saudi-led coalition.
