The National Commission for Women condemned the Saudi-led coalition crimes against the Yemeni civilians, which is the most recent crime is kidnapping a number of women from the district of Tuhita in Yemen’s Red Sea Port City of Hodeidah.
In a statement, the commission denounced the shameful silence of the UN and the international community towards these crimes and the apparent violations of human rights committed in Yemen.
The statement stressed that the coalition had, by these acts, exceeded all international laws, norms, charters, and humanitarian law, which could amount to war crimes.
It called on the United Nations and international organizations sponsoring the issues of women and children, and advocating their rights, to review their accounts where rights are indivisible, emphasizing that the rights must be equal for all without exception.
