Today afternoon, fierce battles with various types of weapons broke out in the center of the city of Taiz between the paid fighters and armed factions of the US backed Saudi-led coalition , leaving a large number of dead and wounded from both sides.

Local sources explained that the clashes broke out between the so-called military police in the Republican Hospital, backed by the Islah Party factions, and armed groups belonging to Abu Abbas, supported by UAE to control the areas controlled by the Islah factions in the same area.

According to the sources, armed confrontations between the two sides expanded into the residential neighborhoods adjacent to the Republican Hospital, while the Abu Abbas paid fighters imposed a siege on the patients and doctors who are in the hospital until today afternoon .

The sources added that the paid fighters of  “Abu Abbas”, had assisted a number of its injured to the Republican Hospital, but the so-called “military police” prevented them from entering the hospital, forcing the Abu Abbas group to bomb the hospital with various medium weapons.

It is worth mentioning that the city of Taiz witnessed fierce confrontations since the days between the mercenary factions under the control of the forces of the coalition of UAE.
