President Directs Half Salary Payments Before Eid

President Mahdi al-Mashat directed the Ministry of Finance to pay half the salaries of state employees before Eid al-Adha.

This came during a meeting with the President Mashat today with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr. Hussein Kabboli and Deputy Minister of Finance Hashim Ismail.

The head of the Supreme Political Council stressed the importance of completing the procedures of half the salary before Eid al-Adha, which will contribute to alleviating the suffering of employees as a result of the Saudi-led warand siege and the absence of salaries as a result of the wrong policies implemented by the Saudi-affiliated Yemeni government, which continues to increase the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The President stressed on the importance of further efforts to mitigate the effects of US-backed war and unjust siege and to meet the operational expenses of state institutions.

During the meeting, they discussed the progress of the Ministry of Finance and ways to meet the economic challenges imposed by the Saudi-led coalition and the Ministry’s efforts to develop revenues.

The meeting also reviewed the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Finance and the Supreme Economic Committee in the aspect of financial reforms and enhancing revenues.
