More Residents Forced to Flee, in Hodeidah

Hundreds of residents of al-Durihemi district in Hodeidah province left their homes on Wednesday amid intense fighting between Yemeni army forces and Saudi-led coalition forces, a local official said.

The official confirmed dozens of families were able to exit eastward towards Alawiya- Al-Masoudi road and reached the center of al-Mansuriya district, which is under the control of the Yemeni army, after a displacement journey that lasted for hours since Tuesday evening.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates pumped billions of dollars into fighting in the port city of Hodeidah in Yemen, but the desperate campaign to occupy the besieged city failed.
