Yemen’s FM sends letters to United Nations

Foreign minister Hisham Sharaf sent on Wednesday two letters to the United Nations, Security Council and High Commissioner for Human Rights related to the war crimes committed by coalition in Yemen.

The move came during his meeting with the UN humanitarian coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande and the acting High Commissioner for Human Rights, in which they are to hand over three letters to United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres and the President and members of the International Security Council.

“The letters included the total siege and war crimes have been committed by Saudi-UAE coalition against the Yemeni people since March 26, 2015, especially the latest crime was committed against children in Dahyan district of Saada province,” Sharaf said.

The minister, in the letters, demanded the United Nations and international community to send an independent international commission to investing the Saudi-UAE war crimes and violations in Yemen.
