Consent of Yemeni Parties Involved in the Dialogue is a Positive Sign: Martin Griffiths

The UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, said that he has recently received the consent of the Yemeni parties involved in the dialogue, describing that as positive sign and a cause for optimism.

Griffiths called on the parties to make further concessions for the benefit of the Yemeni people.

He warned of the failure of the Geneva consultation to resolve the Yemeni crisis, saying: “This would simply mean the reproduction of the Syrian model in Sana’a.”

International forces have been pressing hard to push the warring parties in Yemen for more than three years to sit at the consultation table, scheduled to be held in Geneva on December 6 without preconditions.
