After nearly four years of war between the Saudi-led coalition on one hand, and the Yemeni National Army and Ansarullah (Houthis) on the other, Yemen is suffering from what the UN calls the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

In an interview with FRANCE 24, the UN special envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, warned that “critical actions need to be taken now” to prevent a full-blown famine.

Griffiths also expressed hope that the war could soon come to an end despite the failure of UN-brokered peace talks in Geneva earlier this month after the Saudi-led coalition refused to provide security for Ansarullah’s delegation.
