The Two Major Points Discussed at Yemen’s Peace Talks

A member of the national delegation participating in the Swedish consultations, the head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, Abdul Qader al-Murtada, confirmed that they informed the team of the UN envoy and the ICRC that they are prepared to implement the prisoner exchange agreement.
Al-Mortada said in a press statement: “We discussed in a meeting with the team of the envoy and the International Committee of the Red Cross, some points regarding the implementation of the prisoner exchange agreement.
He also pointed out that the following two main points were discussed, the first to form a field team from the two sides to recover the bodies on all fronts, and the second point is to process the lists of names of prisoners and detainees for delivery to the United Nations on the ninth of December.
Al-Murtada said that the delegation of the UN envoy and the ICRC had been informed of the readiness of the field team for the national delegation and the delegation’s willingness to hand over the names.
A member of the national delegation said that the delegation of the UN envoy and the International Committee of the Red Cross had been informed of the readiness to sit in direct meetings with the delegation of the Saudi-led coalition in order to accelerate achievements.
