A protest rally was organized by dozens of teachers on Sunday in front of the United Nations headquarters in the capital Sana’a to demand payment of their salaries.

In the rally, the teachers held the Saudi-led coalition and exiled Hadi’s authorities the full responsibility of the absent salaries, calling for the United Nations to compel the coalition’s states into ending the economic war and returning the Central Bank to Sana’a to disburse the salaries of the Yemeni teachers.

The rally denounced the war crimes and economic blockade imposed by the Saudi-led coalition on the Yemeni people, as well as destroying infrastructure over mostly four years.

The participants demanded the international community to criminalize and condemn the economic siege, systematic starvation being used as a war weapon by the coalition.
