The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced on Wednesday the death and injury of more than 6700 Yemeni children since the start of the Saudi-led war in 2015, noting that about 358 thousand Yemeni children suffer from severe acute malnutrition.
UNICEF pointed out that these children urgently need treatment, stressing the need to stop attacks targeting children in Yemen.
It is worth mentioning that the war led by Saudi Arabia on Yemen since 4 years caused a major humanitarian disaster and has made three-quarters of the population in need of humanitarian assistance, and pushed the country to the brink of famine, while the United Nations considered Yemen’s crisis “the worst in the world.”
